Baan Sukruthai – Mother & Baby Home
The Home offers counseling, medical care in an environment in which the single mothers feel loved and accepted. Pre and post natal care is given with much personal support engendered amongst the women themselves. The Home caters for approximately 15-20 young women who are unable to handle their pregnancies alone, often because of rejection by family or by the father of her child.
The women are also given training to help prepare for their future lives. Day by day the young women grow in self-awareness and confidence as they prepare to give birth. The women take part in a daily program and classes involving regular visiting professionals. We prepare mothers for the future with parenting skills and the physical and emotional needs of infants.
